Ecology accompanied planning

Through surveys, scientific models, and broad ecological knowledge, taking into account the constraints of the planning world, we accompany planning processes to reduce the conflict between human needs and the crucial preservation of ecosystems and their biodiversity. We have been blessed with a variety of landscapes and habitats with high biological diversity. At the same time, the population is growing at a rapid rate, which demands accelerated planning and construction processes. The design processes often meet the values of nature – and it is at this point that we enter.

Urban Ecology

Urban Ecology

As urban ecologists, we conduct nature surveys that include a wide range of biological groups, help develop tools to provide value for the urban natural area, build guidelines for development processes that preserve the city's natural values, and more. All of the above is done in close collaboration with the various municipal departments - engineering, environment, education, etc. The human population lives mostly in urban areas that are growing at the same time that open spaces outside the city are disappearing. This process requires the authorities and municipalities to take responsibility for the management of open spaces in their territory.

Agroecology

Agroecology

We strive to find biological and social solutions for producing foods in agricultural areas while maintaining biodiversity in those areas. As part of our agroecology projects, we promote the implementation of sustainable farming practices, processes for accepting environmental responsibility from farmers and more. These projects are all done in collaboration with farmers in the field, the Ministry of Agriculture, the regional councils and others. The global increase in population is leading to a growing need for food production. For this purpose, the areas used for agriculture are expanding and the agricultural methods are becoming more and more intensified. On the other hand, in many areas of the world, agricultural fields are the main open areas that remain and as such they are of great importance in preserving biodiversity.

Rehabilitation Ecology

Rehabilitation Ecology

Human activity causes massive damage and deterioration to many large areas. Ecological rehabilitation is designed to stop the damage to natural areas and work on the rehabilitation of areas that have already been affected. We are involved in many ecological rehabilitation projects in both desert and Mediterranean areas. In these processes we bring extensive ecological knowledge, GIS and remote sensing capabilities, and project management capabilities as well. Such projects are usually large and complex, and in these cases, we work with large infrastructure bodies, regional councils, government offices and others.

GIS

Environmental Consulting & Planning

The world's population is growing and the need to develop residential and infrastructure structures is rising. And so, along with the development, open spaces are shrinking and disappearing. We believe that proper planning makes it possible to implement plans in an environmentally and socially wise way, while preserving open spaces, reducing the impact on natural values, streamlining processes and saving resources. We accompany programs with the regulatory bodies throughout the planning process until they are approved, edit environmental documents, ranging from environmental impact review, through environmental landscape document and more. In addition, we lead and partner in preparing master plans and outlines for regional councils, open space planning, open public spaces planning and urban nature sites, streams and drainage basins, tourism, sharing and public involvement and more ...

Remote Sensing

GIS & Remote Sensing

We use GIS & Remote Sensing tools in all of our projects to map environmental or ecological issues, run spatial models, perform complex statistical analyses, and other uses. In the field of remote sensing, we use information collected by satellites or by drones. Using this tool along with unique computerized platforms and advanced algorithms, we analyze, identify, and monitor many environmental and ecological issues. These tools are an integral part of every project we undertake from the initial stage through studying the issue and preparation of the final report.

Ecological Research

Ecological Research

As academics, we possess expertise in research fields, and we are engaged in many applicative ecological researches that highlight our capabilities in planning, preparing and conducting experiments, and finally analyzing the data with advanced scientific and statistical tools.
